Sports fans will get their money's worth this year: Olympics and Paralympics in Paris, European Women's Handball Championships in Austria, Hungary and Switzerland and the football highlight of the year in the summer: The 2024 European Football Championship. Visitors from all over the world are travelling to Germany for this reason. Frankfurt Airport plays a major role in this: As the number one hub airport with a total of 330 destinations in 98 countries, it is the place for direct connections worldwide. In addition, 62% of all intercontinental connections from Germany run via Frankfurt Airport - the gateway to the world.

Advertising to cheer you on

Airport advertising at sports events has proven its worth: Sponsors and international brands use the increased passenger volume and the emotional context to showcase their brands and products.

In the past, numerous advertising campaigns have already generated enthusiasm, for example the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the 2022 Football World Cup in Qatar and also the qualifying matches for this year's EURO 2024. At Frankfurt airport well-known companies reached a high-consumption and international target group with their advertising messages in the wake of popular sports events.
