Knowledge Database: All about our media currency and reach measurement

Our knowledge database offers you comprehensive background knowledge on audience measurement at the airport and on all KPIs relating to the performance of your airport campaign with us. Our reach measurement is based on Airport Audience Measurement (AAM), the world's first standard for measuring media reach at airports.

For you, this means transparent KPIs on the reach of your campaign that provide you with a valuable basis for decision-making. This section gives you an insight into our approach and should help you to make your campaigns at the airport even more targeted and effective!

Airport Audience Measurement

Media Frankfurt has been participating in AAM since 2021: AAM = Airport Audience Measurement is the first global standard for measuring the reach of media at airports, provided by JCDecaux SA. Other German airports are now also connected to the currency: Hamburg, Stuttgart, Cologne and Hanover.

Advantages:

  • Global media currency standard – More than 40 airports worldwide already participate
  • Officially audited – by the French organisation CESP
  • Based on Cirium – the world's most trusted source of aviation analytics with almost 100% coverage
  • We provide AAM KPIs for almost all our media – including analogue surfaces

AAM provides KPIs both as a pre-campaign forecast and as a reporting figure (passenger numbers are updated in AAM approximately 4 weeks after the end of the month).

  • Campaign Reach = number of passengers who have seen a campaign at least once
  • Viewed impressions = total number of contacts for a campaign
