Apple Pay accompanies passengers at Frankfurt Airport

From Checkout to Take-off – Apple Pay visible along the customer journey at Frankfurt Airport 

Frankfurt, 26 August 2025. This summer, Apple Pay will be impossible to miss for anyone passing through Frankfurt Airport. Apple’s digital payment service is put in the spotlight with a high-impact campaign across the entire airport. The striking brand presence stems from a close cooperation between Media Frankfurt, Fraport and Frankfurt Airport Retail (FAR), combining expertise in advertising, airport operations and travel retail. 

Whether at check-in, on the way to the gate, in the retail area or at baggage claim – Apple Pay’s current campaign is present at every step of the traveller’s journey. Media Frankfurt has activated around 320 advertising assets across strategically relevant locations in Terminals 1 and 2 at the airport. These include large-format digital screens as well as premium static billboards, ensuring seamless brand visibility at all major passenger touchpoints. 

The message shown is clear: Apple Pay is an easy, secure and private way to pay in-store, in-app and online with your iPhone or Apple Watch. Slogans like “No Euros, no problem”, “Tap through Frankfurt and beyond” and “Every payment gets a security check” create a clever link between the travel experience and the ease of payments. 

Brand awareness right up to the point of sale 

And the brand experience goes even further: The campaign is extended in collaboration with Fraport and Frankfurt Airport Retail, the joint venture between Fraport AG and Gebr. Heinemann – reaching all the way to the point of sale in duty-free shops and other retail locations throughout the airport. 

Decals, banners, ceiling hangers and payment terminal toppers ensure a strong visibility in a shopping environment – right where purchase decisions are made. This creates a continuous presence that reaches passengers at exactly the right time and place where they can pay securely and simply with their iPhone or Apple Watch they carry.

The campaign’s strong presence in this international environment ensures relevance for a mobile and affluent audience – precisely where digital services are gaining importance. 

By combining varied media formats with in-store activities, the campaign goes beyond visibility to create meaningful brand experiences. It shows how transit spaces can become brand spaces – reaching people at moments of high attention and engagement.
