Weiterstadt/Frankfurt am Main, September 4, 2019 – From now on, no one will be able to get past CUPRA - at least not the approximately 200,000 passengers who are handled on average per day at Frankfurt am Main Airport. With a large-scale campaign in cooperation with Media Frankfurt, the performance brand is going on the advertising offensive around the important aviation hub and shows current and future models.
CUPRA Tavascan in front of Terminal 1
As soon as they enter Terminal 1, passengers head for a huge digital display on which the CUPRA Tavascan is presented. The concept car was only released on 2 September and will celebrate its world premiere at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt am Main (12-22 September). Arriving at the terminal, a total of five LED screens along the entrance areas also provide an impressive view of the CUPRA Tavascan.
Concept vehicle welcomes the guests
CUPRA also welcomes the passengers landing at Frankfurt Airport - in the coming weeks especially numerous guests of the IAA -: In the hall of the baggage claim area in Terminal 1, a total of 19 columns are branded with the CUPRA logo in the form of the distinctive tribal. In addition, eight so-called wall wraps show the CUPRA Tavascan. The displays at the baggage claim areas in Terminals 1 and 2 as well as a king-size lightbox in Arrivals Hall A will also feature the concept car.
Performance SUV on a prominent promotion area
But at Frankfurt Airport you can also get CUPRA to touch: Since the end of August, a CUPRA Ateca* has been on display on a prominent promotion area in the airport atrium. The performance SUV with its impressive maximum output of around 221 kW (300 PS) (fuel consumption combined: 7.4 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 168 g/km; CO2 efficiency class: D) is the brand's first production model, available for order since October 2018 and on the market since December last year.
"It is no coincidence that the starting signal for this large-scale campaign at Frankfurt Airport is given a few days before the start of the IAA," says Bernhard Bauer, Managing Director of SEAT Deutschland GmbH. "CUPRA has gained an incredible profile and awareness in recent months and with the new concept car we are taking the next step with the performance brand into a sporty, electrifying future.
CUPRA is the special brand for special people and will inspire exactly those customers who stand for the same values as the new brand: Uniqueness, elegance and performance. Since the CUPRA brand was established as an independent company, it has already achieved impressive successes: With a total of 14,400 vehicles sold in 2018, sales figures rose by 40 percent compared to the previous year. CUPRA will not only introduce new models, but will also continue the tradition of motor and racing sports by participating in the TCR and ETCR series. The CUPRA world is bursting with energy and will be available at more than 280 specially selected dealerships throughout Europe, from where it will be possible to conquer new fans.
