During the European Football Championship, passengers at Frankfurt Airport will also have the opportunity to enjoy their enthusiasm for football. The airport ticker on Media Frankfurt's media screens provides information on the latest goals and match results - live and in real time, so that travellers never miss an important match event.
"Big events deserve big formats. Airport advertising has also proven to be effective at sporting events: Sponsors and international brands such as Coca-Cola, Bitburger and Alibaba as well as Google and Uber use the increased passenger frequency and the emotional setting to put their brands and products in the right light," explains Martin Korosec Managing Director of Media Frankfurt. "The European Championship is just the start - with a view to the Olympic Games and the next Football World Cup, we are offering our customers the opportunity to book many of these advertising specials directly through us."
For the first time, airport operator Fraport and Media Frankfurt are providing football-loving passengers with the latest information during the matches on over 500 digital media screens.
For departing or transferring passengers who prefer to watch the matches live, seven public viewing areas, three of which are located behind the security checkpoints, ensure that passengers never miss a goal from their favourite team. The enthusiasm for European football is also reflected in the shops at Frankfurt Airport. Over 2000 employees at Frankfurt Airport wear the official jerseys of the participating nations. An official outfitter has also opened a pop-up store in Terminal 1 at the boarding gate, a busy hub at the airport, where fans can purchase a wide range of licensed products.
